Today's blog is different from the other posts, it is about the music. I love listing to the music especially Rock music, I listen to American bands and also Japanese Rock bands. For me music always have been important thing for my life, I think music has special power that let us be emotional. For instance, when we are sad we listen to the music that makes us feel better. For instance, I truly think Amazing Grace can heal people and move people's feeling by listing.

However, this time it is not about the Amazing Grace. It is about my favorite Rock band and my feeling about the music; 2days before (May 24) Paul Gray who was the Slipknot's bass guitar player passed away. I saw this article yesterday and I was shocked, I have been big fan of Slipknot long time and I just when to their live concert 2 years before when they came to Japan. I just cannot believe it.

For me Slipknot's music was one way to calm myself. When I was sad, I listen to their music, when I was happy I listen to their music. Lots of people say that there music is too loud and violent but I think it is matter of the taste and how we interoperate. I think there music is the most amazing and emotional music that I have listen to it.

Through this event, I rethink about how music can influence people and have great role in our life.

  1. It's always sad when someone you admire passes. I'm not familiar with Slipknot's music. I have seen a few image of the band and must say that they have a startling image. I'll have to give their music a listen. Can you recommend any songs to listen to.

Also, please post URLs as clickable links instead of plain text. That way users can go directly to the site instead of copying and pasting. If you don't know how to do this please check with a classmate.

  2. I love listening to music as well! and I agree on your idea about music has special power (and it is indeed a part of our life), because it always gives me power when I feel down. :)

  3. Who doesn't love music? I agreed with most of your ideas written,, but I couldn't agree with the part where you said that Slipknot's music makes you calm,,, I used to be a big fan of Slipknot until they released the latest album, which I think is a total disaster, but Slipknot creates music to make people more sardonic and condescending about the world. If you like Slipknot, listen to mushroomhead, System of a down, they all fall under the category of new metal/emocore.
